Our story

Quix was founded by four McLaren engineers on the belief that complex infrastructure is a bottleneck to building live data-driven applications quickly.

Our team combines human centred design expertise with deep data streaming knowledge to deliver a solution that enables developers to focus on their code.

Developers use our powerful SDK, workflow integrations and API to build and test projects in an always-live environment, quickly iterating their code safe in the knowledge that it will perform flawlessly throughout the production lifecycle.

How we work

Thanks to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Quix has evolved as a remote-first organisation, with team members currently based across the UK, Europe and Asia.

We organise sprints and roadmaps on Clubhouse, hold daily standups on Teams, collaborate on Miro boards and use Slack for chat and adhoc calls (often scribbling on each others screens – how good is the ‘draw’ feature in Slack video calls?!)

Life’s not all about work. We hugely value social interactions, getting to know each other, and sharing our diverse cultures.

We have a fortnightly show and tell session on Friday’s to celebrate everyone’s achievements both inside and outside of Quix, and get together for regular socials both online and in-person (when COVID allows).

Open discussion and debate is fundamental to our performance. We provide a safe space for ideas to flourish and encourage everyone to contribute with their views, experiences and opinions.

We operate at the edge of our comfort zone, which means we are ok with knowledge gaps and mistakes, as long as we’re learning and growing together as a team.
