Personal Access Tokens

Quix APIs can only be accessed by authenticated and authorised parties. As a user, you authenticate yourself to Quix using your username and password. The applications and models you build on Quix also need a way to authenticate themselves to Quix. For security reasons, we do not let applications use your username and password to authenticate to Quix. The only way your applications can login to Quix on your behalf is using personal access tokens (PATs).

Personal access tokens are JSON Web Tokens (JWTs) and they are scoped to the user that created them. In other words, PATs have the same permissions on Quix as the user that created them. In order to limit exposure, PATs have an expiration date. You can also revoke them ahead of their expiration if they are no longer needed.
