How to start and stop a Deployment

Overview

With this guide, you’ll learn how to start and stop a Deployment using the Quix Portal.

Before you begin

When a Deployment is initially created, Quix will attempt to run it automatically.

Starting a deployment

  1. Click the Deployments icon deployment icon in the left-hand menu to view your list of Deployments.

  2. Click the START button alongside the Deployment you want to run.

The Deployment will move through various states, reflected in the Status column, during its run. A Job will typically go from “Queued for Build” through “Building”, “Deploying”, “Starting”, and “Running” states to finish in a “Completed” state.
On error, you’ll see a “Runtime error” status. The Deployment logs may contain further info.

Stopping a deployment

  1. Click the Deployments icon deployment icon in the left-hand menu to view your list of Deployments.

  2. Click the STOP button alongside a running Deployment that you want to stop.
