Kafka and Quix SDK

The Quix message queuing system is built on Kafka therefore many of the concepts carry over seamlessly.

Take Consumer Groups for example. Consumers are processes that read from the message queue. Each consumer that joins a group reads messages from the message queue in turn. Messages contained within the queue will only go to one consumer. They won’t be read or processed by more than one consumer. So, when scaling becomes necessary, utilising consumer groups will allow and are required for your processes to function properly.
